How it works
1. Apply
Tell us where you publish about beer and how big your audience is. We review every application ourselves, within five working days.
2. Share links
In your dashboard you create a link to any page on hoptimaal.com: a beer, a brewery, a collection or the home page.
3. Commission
If someone orders within 14 days of clicking your link, you earn 7.5%. After 30 days the commission is final and we pay out.
What you earn
7.5% of what the customer pays for products, after discounts and excluding VAT. Shipping, deposit and gift cards don't count. There is no cap.
Example
- A follower orders €151.00 worth of beer, including VAT.
- Excluding VAT that is €124.79.
- Your commission: 7.5% = €9.36.
- Twenty orders like that a month is €187 for you.
Why Hoptimaal
- Craft beer shop from Amersfoort (Netherlands) since 2018, with a physical shop and a web shop that ships across Europe.
- International releases such as Messorem, Bas-Canada, Ārpus and Other Half, often earlier than elsewhere. That is what beer lovers search for.
- Ordered before 3 pm, shipped the same working day. Customers come back, and orders are large: on average over €150 in the web shop.
- Our own system: no network in between, no network fees. You deal with us directly.
Who the programme is for
We work with partners who have something real to offer beer lovers. You qualify if:
- ✓you have at least 1,000 genuine followers, monthly visitors or listeners (for a beer club or tasting group: at least 50 members);
- ✓your channel has been active for at least three months and you publish about craft beer regularly;
- ✓your audience is mostly aged 18 or over and lives in Europe;
- ✓you are 18 or over yourself.
Not suitable
- ✕Discount code and cashback sites.
- ✕Channels with bought followers or mostly giveaways.
- ✕An Untappd profile without a channel of your own.
- ✕Audiences that are mostly under 18.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the review take?+
You'll hear by email within five working days whether you've been accepted. We don't give detailed reasons for a rejection; you can apply again after six months.
When does an order count for me?+
When someone clicks your link and orders within 14 days in the same browser. If they then click another partner's link, the last click counts.
Do my followers get a discount?+
No. Your followers pay the normal price; you earn on every order. If a customer uses a discount code, we calculate your commission on the amount after the discount.
Which orders don't count?+
Your own orders, cancelled or returned orders, and gift cards. For a Beer Club subscription, the first order counts.
Which countries can customers order from?+
Any country Hoptimaal ships to. Shipping costs vary by country and are listed on hoptimaal.com.
When do I get paid?+
Commission becomes final 30 days after the order. In the first week of every month we transfer the final balance, from €25. A lower balance carries over to the next month.
What about tax?+
You are paid the amount shown in your dashboard. You are responsible for declaring this income yourself. Your dashboard shows what you earned per month.
Can I advertise with my link?+
No, paid ads with your partner link are not allowed, and neither is advertising on the Hoptimaal name. Organic posts, stories, videos, articles and newsletters are fine.
Where do I see my results?+
In your dashboard: clicks, orders, and commission pending, final and paid. Orders appear within an hour.
Can I stop?+
Any time. We still pay out your final commission.
